These photos were created in Yosemite National Park and the Mono Lake region; a small collection from the eastern flank of the Sierra Nevada. Many of these were created between Toulumne Meadows and the bottom of Lee Vining Canyon, just above Mono Lake and scenic highway US 395.
The "High Sierra" is an oasis in the desert; almost an island in the sky, high enough to pull vital water from the clouds. Aside from the natural beauty, the place is teeming with life. Bears are often seen in the more popular Yosemite Valley, as are deer, coyotes and marmots; the area is also home to redwoods and a few giant Sequoia.
