I seem to be the only one who thinks so, but Canyonlands is much more spectacular than Arches; both parks are pretty close to Moab, Utah. ( Pretty close is relative, here it means within 30 or so miles. ) The entire region is incredible, but Canyonlands is almost disorienting, with cliffs and canyon walls seeming to protrude above and below ground. A close inspection shows that these ancient walls are a lot more brittle than you might expect.
