After driving north from Big Sky, my climb up Going to the Sun Road was interrupted by an early-afternoon rain ( an almost daily event in the Rockies ). The woods are thick enough to form a canopy that kept me fairly dry. About a mile into the path, a bridge crosses the river in this photo. I climbed down underneath, rolled up my pant legs, and set up my tripod in the middle of the river to get the close perspective that shows in the foreground. The cold water was a relief after spending the day before in 90+ degree heat crossing from Yellowstone to Glacier.
