Star Trails, Public Market

The Public Market at the edge of Downtown, with the end of sunset over Puget Sound in the background. The Olympics would normally be visible in the distant background, across the water, if not for the low clouds on the horizon.

Technical note: This is a series of 45 photos blended together in Photoshop. First the perfect twilight sky was recorded, then a series of a few dozen short exposures ( 10 to 30 seconds ) were shot back-to-back to capture the movement of the stars without overexposing the foreground.
