Just across the border ending Yosemite National Park, the view continues to be spectacular, with a canyon opening up and, at this point, a peaceful view of the mountain valley below. This was shot during a late autumn storm, with a few melting snowflakes stuck to the lens.
Technical note: The original 16-35 L mk I improved over its predecessor, the 17-35 L, in that it's weather sealed when a screw-in filter is used. To some extent, this image shows the extreme weather conditions the lens was subjected to for days, sometimes weeks, at a time.
