During the "Golden Hour" before sunset, I found this slow-moving river with interesting deadwood in the foreground, and water clear enough to see the bottom, at least near the camera. The road is in the north-western side of the park, heading toward the town of West Yellowstone.
Although Yosemite doesn't have the types of spectacular peaks you'll find in other parts of the Rockies, the place is stunningly idyllic. The landscape is generally less stark, but beautiful at every point.
