The sun beginning to set leaves a golden hue shining through the forest; landscape photographers know this moment and effect as the "golden hour."

White Horse Falls is a small, remote campground in Oregon's Umpqua Natinoal Forest. The state's Central Cascades are lush and barely inhabited. As far as I can tell, this campground is 20 to 30 miles from the nearest outpost of civilization, which explains the solitary nature.
